Summer Soiree - Celebrate the Summer Solstice, June 20

This is a celebration of the Summer Solstice when we embrace the longest day of the year and invite you to lean into the warmth and wonder of the season. Join us as a lodging guest to take part in all the fun festivities!

Highlights:

Start Summer Anew:

  • Greet the Sun with Family Sun Salutation: Join from 7 AM to 8 AM next to the pool for a family sun salutation, a series of yoga poses to stretch and invigorate the body.
  • Burn Negative: Gather around the bonfire to symbolically let go of any struggles or habits you want to leave behind. Write them down and toss them into the flames, embracing the solstice as a fresh start.
  • Start Summer Resolutions: Spend time by the bonfire from 6-9 PM, creating a summer thrill list or bucket list with your family. Use poster boards and markers to brainstorm and put together your must-dos and wish lists as a family.

Embrace the Earth with Crafts:

  • Vegetable Planting: Head to the lakeside patio to get your hands dirty and plant a vegetable garden for a fall harvest. Each participant will plant seeds in terra cotta clay planter to take home, sourced from Amish suppliers for an organic touch.
  • Craft Flower Crowns: Craft a flower crown to connect with nature from head to toe.
  • Late Night Stargazing Bonfire: Extend the evening until 11 PM with a late-night bonfire featuring a telescope for stargazing.

Enjoy the late sunset, warm weather, and northern Michigan vibes for this fun celebration.
