About The Young Americans
The Young Americans, founded in 1962, is renowned globally for their enthusiastic blend of singing, dancing, and acting. The organization features an ensemble of talented young adults, typically between the ages of 18 and 24, who are selected through a competitive audition process. Each year, a select group of performers is invited to join The Young Americans Dinner Theatre at The Highlands. This collaboration, now a cherished tradition in northern Michigan, has become the second longest-running dinner theater program in the country, combining Broadway-style performances with a gourmet dinner served by the performers themselves.
