Springs Sends Off Ski Season with Events, Live Music, and Unbeatable March Deals

The Highlands in Harbor Springs is sending off the 2025-26 ski season with a packed March calendar of events, live music, family fun, and unbeatable deals. From craft beer tastings and St. Patrick's Day celebrations to the legendary Slush Cup, the final weeks are packed with reasons to make the last tracks count.

EVENTS

Hops ‘N Highlands | Saturday, March 7

Kick off the month with Hops 'N Highlands, a popular Michigan craft beer festivity returning to The Highlands on Saturday, March 7. Tickets are $25 and include event access plus four sampling tickets, with additional tasting tickets available for purchase. More than a dozen Michigan breweries will be represented including Bell's Brewery, Founders Brewing Company, Short's Brewing Company, New Holland Brewing, Petoskey Brewing Company, and more. The competition heats up mid-afternoon with the IFOSH Stein Hoisting Championship - a test of strength, endurance, and will, with bragging rights and a $150 Highlands gift card prize. St. Paddy's Day Weekend | March 13–15

One of the most spirited weekends of the spring brings the best of Irish tradition to the slopes. Guests can enjoy spring skiing, live music from Galactic Sherpas, bourbon tastings and Guinness specials, kids’ races, and a full lineup of on-hill events. Kids Biathlon on Boardwalk | Saturday, March 14

Young athletes can run, jump, and ski their way to the finish line in this obstacle-filled uphill sprint in ski boots, followed by a downhill ski through a Silly Slalom course. More information at highlandsharborsprings.com/events/kids-biathlon-on-boardwalk.

Slide & Swing Challenge | Saturday, March 14

Golf meets skiing on Camelot. Participants tee off overlooking Little Traverse Bay, then make their way sliding and swinging down the mountain on a playful 5-hole alpine snow course. More information at highlandsharborsprings.com/events/slide-and-swing-challenge.

Ring in Spring | March 20–22

The Highlands closes out the season with Ring in Spring featuring live music, drink tastings, winter fun, and the popular Slush Cup. A beloved spring skiing tradition, the Slush Cup challenges brave participants to ski over an open pond at the base of the slopes. Spectators are encouraged to come out and cheer as the fun unfolds.
