The Highlands Unveils New Culinary Series
The Highlands, a two-time Award of Excellence recipient from Wine Spectator, is thrilled to announce an exciting new culinary series designed to delight food enthusiasts of all ages. Featuring three unique events, this series promises unforgettable culinary experiences, from interactive cooking classes to expertly paired wine dinners.
The series kicked off with a sold-out Junior & Teen Cooking Class on July 11. The inaugural event had young chefs don their aprons and step into the kitchen for an immersive, hands-on cooking experience.
The next event in the series is the highly anticipated Sommelier-Led Interactive Wine Dinner on Saturday, August 24. This event, happening from 3:30-5:30 p.m. with dinner to follow from 6-8 p.m., is designed for wine aficionados and food lovers alike. Attendees have the opportunity to interact with resident sommelier and Director of Food & Beverage, Bryan Banfield, along with Sommelier Keith Waclawski, while learning the art of wine pairing. Together, the group selects the wines to complement the evening’s dinner menu. Tickets are on sale now for $85 per person.
Concluding the series is an Adult Cooking Class focused on Midwestern cuisine on Saturday, October 5 from 1-4 p.m. with dinner to follow from 6:30-8:30 p.m. This event celebrates the rich culinary traditions of the Midwest, guiding participants through an interactive culinary experience, learning about flavors and cooking techniques like Sous Vide and Mother Sauces. Under the guidance of Banfield, attendees will use their newfound knowledge and techniques to craft a strolling dinner. Tickets are $65 per person and all participants receive a commemorative Highlands’ apron. Dinner pricing for guests is $45 for adults, and $19 for kids, 12 and under.
“For this series, my goal was to craft unique and enriching experiences that combine education, interaction, and the enjoyment of a great meal,” said Banfield.
Spaces in the event series are limited and advance ticket purchases are suggested. For more information on the series or to purchase tickets, visit highlandsharborsprings.com.
