Things to Know

  • We strongly suggest that you purchase your lift tickets, activities, and lessons early and in advance only.

Resort & Lodging

  • Yes, overnight guests have access to the pool and hot tub at the Main Lodge and the Bartley House.

  • No, we do not have child care but our Adventure Camp is back during the summer months!  Learn More >>

Dining

  • Takeout and delivery are available. Slopeside Lounge and the Main Dining Room offer takeout options. Champions Pizza offers takeout and delivery. Please note: Dining options are seasonal, so please check operation hours.

  • All of our restaurants and dining establishments are open! Takeout, delivery, and grab-and-go options are available, with online ordering available at select locations. Locations are seasonal, so please check dining hours and operation. 

  • All outlets of the resort will accept cash.

Golf

Bike Park

  • September 5 - October 15

    • Friday: 12 PM - 5 PM
    • Saturday-Sunday: 10 AM - 5 PM
  • If you purchased online, you can scan your QR code at any available Kiosk and head straight to the lift. If you made a purchase over the phone, you will need to stop by the lift ticket office window by Skier Services in front of the Day Lodge to sign your waiver and pick up your Go Card.

    Go Cards are reusable from year to year.

  • Please check in with a lift ticket window agent (located in Skier Services in front of the Day Lodge), and they will direct you where to go. We require a state or government issued ID to pick up your bike rental.

  • Lift Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. However, changes or cancellations made up until the day prior to the scheduled date will result in a Credit Voucher being issued for the full value of the activity cost (no fee). Same-day cancellations of your lift tickets will result in a full forfeit of your payment. 

    Rentals can be changed or canceled up to 3 days prior to the scheduled date for a full refund. Changes or cancellations made within 3 days, up until the day prior to the scheduled date, will result in a Credit Voucher issued for the full value of the activity cost (no fee). Same-day changes or cancellations of your activity will result in a full forfeit of your payment. If cancellations are made on behalf of the resort due to weather, we will give the guest the opportunity to reschedule within the season or issue a full refund.

Adventure Center

  • The Adventure Center is located at Skier Services on the parking lot side of the Day Lodge. We recommend booking all adventure activities in advance online to guarantee the lowest price. Our staff at Skier Services is available to book your adventure in person. Please know rates at the window may be higher. 

  • Check-in: Please arrive at the Adventure Center 15 minutes before your ride time. 

    • The minimum weight for riders is 60 lbs., and the minimum height is 3 ft.
    • The maximum weight for riders is 250 lbs.
    • All riders are required to wear a helmet, which is provided. Personal ski and climbing helmets may be worn. However, bike helmets are not permitted, and we reserve the right to refuse any helmet.
    • Light climbing and hiking are required of riders when commuting from line to line in the series.
    • All must sign a liability waiver, and a parent/guardian signature is required for those under the age of 18. 
    • Any participant who is pregnant, has heart troubles, or has any serious medical conditions should consider that this type of adventure may not be the best choice for them. We recommend a consultation with your medical provider before participating.
    What to Wear
    • Hiking boots and athletic shoes are recommended for riders; open-toed shoes, sandals, and bare feet are not allowed.
    • If you have long hair, we recommend you put it in a ponytail.
    • Bring your camera and capture this thrill!
    Weather

    The ziplines will operate in almost every weather condition, and the weather can change quickly. Please check the local forecast and dress appropriately. Operations may be suspended due to thunder, lightning, high winds, or other unsafe conditions at our discretion.

  • Check-in: Please arrive at the Equestrian Center 20 minutes before your ride time.

    Trail Ride Excursion
    • Rides are offered to ages 8 and up.
    • The maximum weight is 250 lbs.
    • Reservations are required.
    • Each rider is required to wear a helmet, which will be provided.
    • Riders are required to wear close-toed shoes. Long pants are recommended.
    • Double riding, selfie sticks, and unmounted GoPros are not permissible.
    • Riders must know left from right.
    • For our horses' and guests' safety, each horse is assigned a specific Rider Maximum Weight Limit.
    • We ask that you let us know ahead of time if you have any special requirements.
    • Waivers must be signed by all riders or by parent/guardian if 17 or younger
    • Please note that temperatures above 85 and below 10 degrees may require us to suspend our scheduled rides.
    Wrangler Led Mini Experience 
    • Trail riders are to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes.
    • Each rider is required to wear a helmet, which is provided.
    • Rides are 15 minutes each.
    • Child must be able to sit by themselves.
  • Check-in: Please arrive at the Adventure Center 15 minutes before your ride time. 

    • Participants must be at least 14 years old. Anyone under age 18 must have a Release of Liability signed by a parent or guardian.
    • Participants must weigh at least 100 lbs. and not more than 250 lbs.
    • Closed-toed shoes are required.
    • Helmets are required and are provided.
    • Participants can bring their own helmets, but helmets will be inspected by Adventure Center staff.
    • Ski, bike, and skateboard helmets are acceptable.
    • No loose clothing or accessories.
  • Check-in: Please arrive at the Adventure Center 15 minutes before your ride time. 

    • If you are a first-time renter, you will receive an introductory lesson for the first hour with every rental.
    • Helmets are provided and required with a rental.
    • Only snow bikes that meet the Boyne snow bike policy will be allowed at The Highlands.
    • Snowboard boots will be provided.  Customer boots can be accepted if they are warm enough and provide enough support.
    • If a guest purchases a Sno-Go bike from a Boyne Country Sports location, they will receive a free lesson with presented proof of purchase.  
    • The height requirement is 5ft+
    • Lift ticket required.
    • Reservations are required for Sno-Go Bikes. A credit card is required to confirm the booking.
  • Activity Reservations can be changed or canceled up to 3 days prior to the scheduled date for a full refund. Changes or cancellations made within 3 days, up until the day prior to the scheduled date, will result in a Credit Voucher issued for the full value of the activity cost (no fee). Same-day changes or cancellations of your activity will result in a full forfeit of your payment. If cancellations are made on behalf of the resort due to weather, we will give the guest the opportunity to reschedule within the season or issue a full refund.

Snowsports School

  • Check-in for all lessons is at the "Snowsports School Meeting Area" behind the Day Lodge. On-snow supervisors will be there to introduce students to their instructors.

    Snowsports lessons do not include a lift pass. We recommend purchasing your lift tickets as well as your rental equipment in advance by booking online to ensure that equipment is available.

    If renting equipment, please check-in at least 60 minutes prior to your lesson starting time. Pick-up is also available the evening before between 3 PM - 5 PM during day skiing hours and 7 PM - 9 PM during night skiing hours. 

    • Lift access (lift ticket or season pass) is required to take a lesson. 
    • Rental equipment is not included.
    • Reservations are required for all private individual lessons or private group lesson packages.
    • Pricing allows up to 3 participants in the same group. 
    • Our instructors will tailor their approach to align with the proficiency of the least experienced member of the group. To optimize the learning experience, we advise arranging sessions with participants of similar skills. 
    • Lift access (lift ticket or season pass) is required to take a lesson. 
    • Rental equipment is not included.
    • Reservations are required for all kids camp group lessons. Registration is based on availability.
    • Choose Morning, Afternoon, or All Day. Lunch is provided for all day Kids Camp Group Lessons. 
    • Students are broken into groups according to discipline, age, and ability level.
    • Lift access (lift ticket or season pass) is required to take a lesson. 
    • Rental equipment is not included.
    • Reservations are required for all adult group lessons. Registration is based on availability. 
    • Group lessons are great for all skill levels and are suitable for ages 15+. 
    • Participants are grouped according to skill level with around 7 participants per group.
  • Lessons can be changed or canceled up to 3 days prior to the scheduled date for a full refund. Changes or cancellations made within 3 days, up until the day prior to the scheduled date, will result in a Credit Voucher issued for the full value of the activity cost (no fee). Same-day changes or cancellations of your activity will result in a full forfeit of your payment. If cancellations are made on behalf of the resort due to weather, we will give the guest the opportunity to reschedule within the season or issue a full refund.

Ski & Snowboard Equipment Rental

  • Guardian signatures are required in the rental process for any guests under 18 years of age.

  • We require all guests to enter the Day Lodge through the SnowSports Academy entrance.

    The hallway between Snow Sports School and Rental will be divided by valet roping. The right side of the hallway will become the waiting area for guests needing rentals. 

  • Helmet usage is encouraged but not required at The Highalnds. Helmet rentals are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Rental equipment can be picked up starting at 8:30 AM on the day of. Early pick up is also available the evening before between 3 PM - 5 PM during day ski hours and 7 PM - 9 PM during night skiing hours. 

  • Online rental reservations will be strongly encouraged to help streamline the guest experience. Reservations must be made 48 hours in advance.

  • Rentals can be changed or canceled up to 3 days prior to the scheduled date for a full refund. Changes or cancellations made within 3 days, up until the day prior to the scheduled date, will result in a Credit Voucher issued for the full value of the activity cost (no fee). Same-day changes or cancellations of your activity will result in a full forfeit of your payment. If cancellations are made on behalf of the resort due to weather, we will give the guest the opportunity to reschedule within the season or issue a full refund.
